Emily Bamberg is only a sophomore, but she’s ready to lead.
The student is one of 35 leaders from across the country chosen to participate in the Staff Development Seminars of the Student Leadership Training Program.
Bamberg is not the first member of her family to participate in the SLTP. Her brother Marty and sister Danielle attended previous sessions. In addition, Danielle was also a Leadership Trainer and helped convince Emily to attend this year.

To become certified as a staff member, Emily must successfully complete a 150-hour training course that culminates in certification as a Leadership Trainer.
SLTP conferences are intense five-day workshops that are “designed to increase self understanding and confidence, foster development of leadership skills, to improve communication skills and to define the role of student leaders,” according to a release.
