Certified nursing assistant

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Amanda served this country by being a combat medic for 6 years with the Army. She came home with a medical discharge and started nursing school while working full time at a local VA hospital.

She is presently working on a unit of veterans who are fighting and many are dying of coronavirus. She is a friendly, caring woman who stays with them, holding their hand and offering comfort and playing music that they like so they don’t leave this life alone as their family can’t be with them.

She is graduating this month with honors from nursing school and plans to continue providing care to coronavirus patients.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She is a remarkable, caring woman and an asset to our family and the patients she cares for.

Thank you for all you do, Amanda!
