Report Of Gunshots Overnight In Wilmington
The shots were fired just before 1 a.m. on Monday, according to scanner and social media reports.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington police are continuing to investigate a report of shots fired in the area of Ring Avenue and Salem Street report around 12:45 a.m. Monday morning. Police said Monday morning that the area has been secured and that the area has been rule safe. Police also found five spent shells from a firearm at the scene.
Residents reported hearing five or six gunshots just before 12:45 a.m. Monday morning. The noise was followed by a heavy police presence in the area, and the intersection of the two roads was still blocked off as police continued their investigation Monday morning.
