Retired Wilmington Fire Fighter Charged WIth Assault And Battery
Terry L. McKenna retired in 2013 after 25 years as a Wilmington Fire Fighter.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Police charged a retired Wilmington Fire Fighter with assault and battery Thursday morning. At 7:14 am, according to the Wilmington Police log, a person walked into the station to report an assault and battery that had occurred about 15 minutes earlier on Forest Street. An officer was sent to follow up with a male party at 45 Church Street.
Police issued a summons to Terry L. McKenna, 67, of 9 Ferguson Road in Wilmington and charged him with assault and battery. McKenna retired from the Wilmington Fire Department in 2013 after serving 25 years.
Correction: An earlier version of this story said McKenna had been arrested. He was not arrested or held by Wilmington Police.
