Strategic Planning Results to be Released During School Committee Meeting
Strategic planning community survey is first stage of mapping future curriculum.

Superintendent of Schools Joanne Benton will announce the results of a recent community survey during a Wednesday night School Committee meeting.
The session, which begins at 6:30 p.m., takes place at in the library.
Wednesday’s meeting begins with the Superintendent’s Report that includes a variety of topics. The Global Child Report, Race to Nowhere, winter sports report, Wildcat Project, Wilmington High School junior prom and an anti-bullying community meeting will be discussed during this portion of the agenda.

As there is no old business for board members to discuss, Benton is then scheduled to open new business with her update on the results from the .
The survey is the initial state of planning the next five years of the district’s curriculum.

“I am pleased with the community participation in the survey,” said Benton. “It is an important process that serves as a road map. It outlines the goals that the district hopes to achieve in the upcoming years.”
The final item of new business on the agenda is an update on the High School Building Committee’s visioning meeting scheduled for March 31.
