Though Wilmington High School , some local athletes went home happy after a day on the gridiron Thursday.
Shawsheen Technical High School, featuring several Wilmington players, toppled Greater Lowell for an 11th straight year. The Rams used a 27-18 win to recapture the Collins Cup.
While the win was a nice accomplishment for the team, Shawsheen has a bigger goal in mind.

Thanks to a league championship, the Rams earned a playoff tilt against Cardinal Spellman, which takes place Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. at Andover High School.
The winner of the game advances to play in the Division 4 Super Bowl scheduled for Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The Rams are looking to win a second straight Super Bowl crown.
