Police Log: Stolen Guns and Running With Drugs

The following is an excerpt from the log from Friday, June 29 to Sunday, July 1.
Friday, June 29
1:51 a.m.: North Reading Police Department reported that a tractor trailer unit was leaking diesel fuel from the off ramps of Exit 39 on I-93 until it pulled onto Concord Street in their town. A large amount of diesel was in the roadway from the ramps to North Reading. The called the Massachusetts Highway Department who responded to the scene.

8:08 a.m.: A Cochrane Road caller reported that sometime during the night his house was egged. He wanted the incident logged and requested extra patrols.
1:38 p.m.: A Main Street caller reported a male party fell to the ground and the person appeared to be intoxicated. The man, who went into his home, had a bloody nose and was evaluated by the .

2:38 p.m.: An Allston Ave. caller reported that her house was broken into sometime since 8:30 a.m. this morning. A safe containing $3,000 and two firearms was stolen.
10:42 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance between a female and her brother's ex-girlfriend. The female, a Medford woman, was summonsed for assault and battery.
Saturday, June 30
8:14 a.m.: On Mass Ave. a resident reported a female party in the area who was screaming for 10-15 minutes. Officers checked the area and it was most likely children playing in a nearby pool.
6:23 p.m.: At the ATM, a caller was concerned because the machine malfunctioned while she was attempting to withdraw $600, and she received no money. She feared the machine may have been tampered with. The ATM was out of service, and the bank was aware the woman would be following up on Monday.
8:37 p.m.: Officers received a report of a person in who was possibly intoxicated. Two male parties ran from the CVS parking lot. One of the men was caught on Clorinda Drive and the other on North Washington Street. Peter C. Carter, 27, of 180 Tyngsboro Road in Chelmsford, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of class C drugs, possession of class E drugs, an outstanding warrant and furnishing a false name and social security number to police. John Mosley, 24, of 27 Rocky Hill Road in Burlington, was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of class C drugs and possession of class E drugs.
Sunday, July 1
12:54 a.m.: A loud band was reported. A mailbox on Lawrence Street caught on fire from fireworks, but the fire was out upon arrival.
11:19 a.m.: Police spoke with a walk-in party who reported that his son's bike was damaged by youths at the skate park on June 30. He provided the involved names to the station officer.
7:53 p.m.: Two parties on Middlesex Ave. were given criminal citations for possession of marijuana. Two small bags of marijuana were taken for destruction.
