Sub Shop to Replace Pink Melon in Wilmington
The new sub shop will be located next to the Cleaner Spot in the former Pink Melon location.

WILMINGTON, MA — A new sub shop has been granted a common victualler's license to relocate from Billerica to Wilmington in the same location that Pink Melon once stood.
The Wilmington Board of Selectmen unanimously voted to grant a license to La Rosa's Sandwich Shop, which is relocating from Billerica, during its July 18 meeting. Former Selectman and Counsel to owner Lawrence Evans Michael Newhouse, Esq. stated at the meeting that the sub shop hopes to open on Sept. 1, but would further publicize its opening date.
"I just want to let you know that I'm a big Italian sub guy, so I'm looking forward to sampling it," Selectman Greg Bendel said at the meeting.
