Tax Classification Up for Discussion at Monday Meeting

Wilmington's Board of Selectmen has a short agenda that it will address during tonight's session inside Town Hall, Room 9.

Wilmington's Board of Selectmen face a shorter agenda than usual as they meet for the final time in November. The session is slated for Monday night at 7 p.m. inside Town Hall, Room 9.

First on the docket is a meeting with Paul J. Kneeland, who requests a transfer of the All Alcohol License of Robert P. MacCann, Jr., for the business known as Main Street Liquors. 

The Main Street license would transfer to Tucker's Liquors, LLC, also known as Main Street Liquors.

Then at 7:15 p.m., Principal Assessor Skip Moynihan will hold a public hearing for a discussion of the local property tax policy regarding Wilmington's classification.

The third appointment of the night for board members is with Frank West, who will discuss the annual Toys for Tots program in town.

Among the communications selectmen will read is a letter from Philips Electrionics regarding the closure of their Industrial Way plant.
