Tewksbury Woman Arrested After Wilmington Crash

It was the second time in just over a year that Lisa Nocco was arrested after being involved in a Wilmington car crash.

WILMINGTON, MA -- When Wilmington Police responded to a car crash at Woburn Street and Eames Street just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday, they found that one of the drivers is well-known to local police. Lisa Nocco, 53, of Tewksbury, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle after her license was revoked for her second operating under the influence offense and failure to grant the right of way.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash, according to the Wilmington Police Department log. Nocco was arrested in November 2016 by Wilmington police and charged with OUI, second offense. That arrest came after a two-car crash at Grove Avenue and Winchell Road on November 10, 2016.

Nocco was also arrested in March 2016 for possession of oxycodone and failure to signal. In that incident, police detectives observed a drug transaction on Ward Street. in Tewksbury. Also arrested in that incident was James Brooks, 39, of Tewksbury for trafficking cocaine over 18 grams, distribution of oxycodone (subsequent offense), possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone (subsequent offense) and possession of nandrolone decanoate (steroids).

Detectives observed a drug transaction at 32 Ward St. and conducted a motor vehicle stop of Nocco. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of several oxycodone pills. Shortly thereafter, Brooks was placed into custody outside his residence. After a search of his residence, police recovered 18 grams of cocaine, several oxycodone pills, packaging materials and two digital scales.
