The Early Morning Hours - Breathtaking in Nature, Super Productive to a Mom

I'm sure I'm not alone as a parent of a toddler, add to that a parent of a toddler who works from home, but there is nothing more precious, more calming than being up hours before my little guy when I can get so much done whether for work (mostly work), or even just around the house.

A former night owl for decades before my son was born, I now find myself heading off to bed between much earlier and getting up well before my neighborhood begins to wake.

The hours between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. (yes, he does sleep late - for which I'm lucky) are golden to me and I find them to be the most productive of any given day.

This morning I captured this image just before 6 a.m., as I realized the days are certainly getting shorter and I'm no longer greeted by sunlight each morning. But this was a beautiful, peaceful moment this morning when the sky just began illuminating and you could still hear the sounds of the night, along with the birds and ducks and more getting up to start their day in our neighborhood.

So tell me Wilmington moms and dads, are you early risers and what do you find you accomplish in those uninterrupted hours?
