Week in Review: Elections, Sandwiches and Veterans
Wilmington Patch stories in review for the week of Nov. 1 to 7.
This has been one busy week in Wilmington and we haven't even launched yet!
The biggest news of it all is probably the Nov. 2 election results. Patch reported from every Patch-afied town in Massachusetts and Twittered constantly to bring you the most up-to-date information as it happened. I was at in Wilmington for the victory party and reported on his sweeping win.
We also reported on a few sandwiches around town. In honor of we visited the Sandwich Exchange and reported on what they had to offer Wilmington residents and workers. We also visited a famous town character, " who is more than just the owner of at the , he's our own claim to the silver screen.

Another business we thought you'd be interested in hearing about was and how the construction there is proceeding–and what it took to get the new facility started, on Main Street.
Another landmark day this last week, on Wednesday, was the I was at the meeting helping pack away boxes of candy and toiletries for the troops and spoke to the man who started it all, Louis Cimaglia, as well as his rock, aka his wife Marion, and a veteran who had been a recipient of these thoughtful packages.

But we didn't forget that sometimes you just need to unwind and hang out, that's why we also informed you about our town's jolliest of minstrels, the who are performing at the Peabody Essex Museum on Nov. 17.
We also informed you about , Nov. 6 as declared by the . We were there when Mendoza received her citation from the Town and when she was inducted into the UMass Lowell Athleic Hall of Fame.
