WILMINGTON, MA — With the election just a few days away, much of the campaigning has already been done. If dollar signs equaled votes, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will have won Wilmington in a landslide.
According to the Federal Election Commission, the former Secretary of State has received $10,597 from Wilmington residents. She is followed by Republican nominee Donald Trump receiving $2,681. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein did not receive any reported campaign contributions from Wilmington residents.
However, New York Businessman Donald Trump received an ever-so-slightly higher average donation than his Democratic adversary. Trump received just 31 donations from residents, but had an average donation of $86.46. Clinton received an average of $86.16, but received 123 donations.
