Wildcats Finish Regular Season With Several Personal Records
Cross country enters league meet on Monday.

Wilmington's cross country teams continued a on Tuesday with a home split with Burlington.
improved to 4-3 on the season. Though the boys lost, 32-24, several Wilmington runners earned personal best times.
Callie O'Connell led the way with a personal record of her own, running the course in a time of 20:07.

"(O'Connell) is unbeaten for the month of October and has the second fastest time since I have coached the team," said head coach Thomas Bradley.
Keara MacCorkle was second against Burlington with a personal record of 21:26. Bradley said MacCorkle now ranks 9th on the list of Top 10 girls he's coached.

Kate Richardson was third for Wilmington and fourth overall, with a PR of 21:35.
Overall, Wilmington snagged five of the first six finishes to secure the win.
The Wildcat boys team was led by Erik Alatalo, who was first on the team and third overall. His time was a personal record of 17:00, the fourth fastest Bradley has coached in his tenure.
Dave Swider was next with his own personal best, 17:08, which was the sixth fastest Bradley has seen.
"Dave has been a very pleasant surprise," said Bradley.
Steve Halas, 17:24, Andrew Sears, 18:44, and Chris Monteforte, 19:23, were the next Wildcats to finish.
In total, 11 Wilmington boys set personal records.
"It was a nice way to finish the regular season," said Bradley, whose boys team finished at 2-5 on the year.
