Wilmington High School teams are busy this week, but not many of them will spend their games in upcoming days in the friendly confines of their home venue.
No teams are in action on Monday, though the basketball teams are preparing for Tuesday's road tilts against Melrose. The girls team looks to continue its recent winning ways with a 5:30 p.m. tip off before the boys team looks to do the same when it begins play at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, the wrestling and girls hockey teams host the only varsity games in town this week.

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday the young Wildcat grapplers welcome Burlington to town. Though Wilmington hasn't seen positive results on the scoreboard, the .
The same can be said for the girls hockey team, . The Lady Wildcats take on Concord Carlisle at 8 p.m. inside on Wednesday.

In addition, a pair of teams are on the road on Wednesday. At 5 p.m., the boys track team looks for road success as they travel to face Wakefield for a meet being held in Lexington. Then at 8 p.m., the boys hockey team skates at Melrose, hoping to continue its climb in the standings.
Just one Wilmington team is in action on Thursday. The girls varsity track team travels to Wakefield for a 5 p.m. meet.
On Friday, both basketball teams are on the hardwood again with a road doubleheader. The girls play at 5:30 p.m. against Wakefield and the boys visit the same foe at 7 p.m.
Saturday is a busy one for Wilmington teams. The girls hockey team is in Martha's Vineyard for a weekend long tournament, the wrestling team heads to Mt. Anthony Union in Vermont for a tournament that starts at 10 a.m. and closes the week with a road game against Wakefield at 6 p.m.
