Wildcats Play Multiple Home Games This Week
A look at Wilmington sports action in upcoming days.
It's getting near crunch time for Wilmington High School sports teams.
This week takes us into February, which means the playoffs are just weeks away. There are several local teams with their sights on the postseason, so the upcoming contests are critical.
On Tuesday, the basketball teams host a doubleheader against Winchester. The girls team tips off at 5:30 p.m. as they look to continue rolling and adding wins to their already impressive resume.

Then at 7 p.m., the boys team looks to get back in the win column and also seeks revenge against the team that .
On Wednesday, the skates on the road against Winchester at 6 p.m. while a pair of Wildcat teams are at home.

The grapples Minuteman Regional High School at 6:30 p.m. while the continues its schedule with an 8 p.m. tilt against Winchester.
None of the school's teams play on Thursday and all varsity action Friday is on the road. The basketball teams play at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Stoneham with the girls game first followed by the boys.
Closing out the week, the girls hockey team is the only home squad on Saturday. The Lady Wildcats host Stoneham at 2:30 p.m. The boys and girls track teams are set for a meet in Burlington at 12:30 p.m. and the boys hockey team skates in Stoneham at 4 p.m.
And of course, the biggest game of the week doesn't involve Wilmington teams. The Super Bowl kicks off at about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday as the New England Patriots battle the New York Giants in Indianapolis.
