Wilmington Begins Accepting Nomination Papers For Town Election
Two selectmen and three school committee members are up for reelection this year.

WILMINGTON, MA -- Wilmington Selectmen Greg Bendel and Kevin Caira and school committee members Julie Broussard, Jo Newhouse, and Tom Talbot are all up for reelection this year, and the race to potentially unseat them officially started Wednesday. That's the day candidates could begin taking out nomination papers for the April 27 town election. Nomination papers with 50 signatures from registered Wilmington voters need to be returned by March 8.
The selectmen and school committee members each serve three-year terms. There is also one spot on the Shawsheen Tech School Committee currently held by Robert Peterson Sr. up for reelection this year.
