Wilmington Coronavirus: School Committee Cancels April Vacation

Monday is Patriots' Day, a state holiday, so school will remain off that day.

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee voted Wednesday evening to cancel the scheduled April vacation. Remote learning will continue April 21 to 24.

Monday, April 20 is Patriots' Day, a state holiday, so remote learning will not take place that day.

The new final day of school is June 15.

Surveys of both the community and the teachers found about 60 percent in favor of continuing remote learning through the break. Superintendent Glenn Brand recommended learning continue and the School Committee voted unanimously in favor.

The Committee also voted in favor of continuing special education tuition payments.
