Wilmington Coronavirus Update: 163 Cases, 96 At Nursing Homes
WIlmington's AdviniaCare and CareOne nursing homes have 84 and 12 confirmed cases, respectively.
WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington has 163 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, as of Wednesday morning, according to the Health Department. That includes 84 at the AdviniaCare nursing home and 12 at the CareOne nursing home.
Outside the two nursing homes, 12 residents have recovered from the virus, meaning there are 55 active cases in town. Eighteen residents are currently under quarantine for potential exposure.
AdviniaCare first reported cases Saturday, when 51 residents tested positive. All staff and residents would be tested, the nursing home reported. The town did not say whether the new cases are residents or staff. The facility has 98 residents.

Excluding the nursing home cases, the number of positive tests in town has more than doubled in under a week. As of April 2, there were 29 confirmed cases in Wilmington.
