Wilmington Domestic Assault Incident Leaves One Dead, Another Injured: DA

A man reportedly died from self-inflicted stab wounds.

WILMINGTON, MA — A man is dead and a woman suffered serious injuries after a domestic assault incident in Wilmington Saturday morning, according to a release from the Middlesex County District Attorney's office.

According to the Globe's report, the Middlesex district attorney's office says that a man identified as Francesco Cenca, 44, was found "suffering from self-inflicted stab wounds," and was taken to a Boston hospital where he later died from his injuries. The unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

According to the District Attorney's office, police responded to a Clark Street home at 5:42 a.m. Saturday morning after a report of an "apparent domestic assault" involving a man and a woman who knew each other. The matter is still under investigation by Wilmington Police and the District Attorney's office.
