Wilmington Educational Foundation's Adult Team Spelling Bee
Event will be held Thursday, March 5.

The Wilmington Educational Foundation will host its 3rd annual Adult Team Spelling Bee on Thursday, March 5 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (126 Middlesex Ave.). Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins promptly at 7 p.m. and wraps around 9 p.m.
Teams of four will spell their way through the swarm rounds to reach the finals and a chance to win the coveted Golden Stinger Trophy. All spelling is done as a team, so don’t worry about embarrassing yourself!

The event’s emcee, retired Town Manager Michael Caira, along with a panel of local celebrity judges, always keeps the evening fun and entertaining. Remember to bring your own snacks and some cash for the bar.
Can’t spell? You could still win! Take a chance at our auction and raffle tables, featuring items like a pair of Boston Bruins tickets and a $150 Target gift card. Prizes will also be awarded to teams with the silliest team names and most interesting team outfits.

Standard team entry fee is $100. (Local organizations are asked to pay $150. Local businesses are asked to pay $250.) Entry fees are tax-deductible. All funds raised will benefit the Wilmington Public Schools in the form of technology, curriculum and professional development grants.
Teams must register no later than Feb. 27 by mailing a check and entry form to: Leslee Quick, WEF Spelling Bee; Roman House; 161 Church Street; Wilmington, MA 01887. Checks should be payable to “Wilmington Educational Foundation.” Forms can also be downloaded online here or requested by emailing wilmingtoneducationalfoundation@gmail.com.
Attendance is free for observers, although donations are always appreciated.
