Wilmington Fourth of July Fireworks And More: 2018 Guide

Besides fireworks, there will be a carnival, food, road races, a basketball tournament, pie eating contests, and much more.

WILMINGTON, MA — This year's Wilmington Fun on the Fourth Independence Day Festival starts on June 29 and ends with a fireworks spectacular on July 2 at 9:30 p.m. A rain date is scheduled for July 3.

The festival takes place at and the area around Wilmington's Fourth of July Headquarters at 142 Middlesex Avenue. Besides fireworks, there will be a carnival, food, road races, a basketball tournament, pie eating contests, and much more. Event registration information can be found here.

To avoid issues with parking and traffic, it's recommended people take one of the four bus routes to the festival. Bus routes are shown below. Images are credited to the Wilmington Fourth of July Committee.

A schedule of events can be found here. Preregistering for events and meal tickets is recommended ahead of time and can be done at the Fourth of July Headquarters. All events are free.
