WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington High School will be remote for the next two weeks, after a group of students attended an indoor house party, school officials said Sunday night in a letter to the school community.
Hybrid learning only began at the school Thursday, after the first month was spent learning remotely.
According to the letter, 25 to 30 students attended the party, Friday. Masking and social-distancing measures were not followed.

Wilmington police were dispatched to the party but only was only able to identify a small group of students. Since the party, the Board of Health has had difficulty identifying the other students for contact-tracing, due to "lack of cooperation," the school officials said.
"As a result, upon consultation with Ms. Shelley Newhouse, director of the Wilmington Board of health, there remains significant concern regarding the inability to successfully complete contact tracing measures thereby creating a great concern as a public health issue," the letter reads.
