Wilmington Middle School Needs Votes in iPad Contest

You can help school win iPad Mobile Carts.

wants the opportunity to purchase iPad carts for its students, and they need your help to do so.

The school is a finalist in the Clorox Power A Bright Future grant contest that would result in a $50,000 grant to purchase the equipment.

"Creating and maintaining a high level of technological skills amongst our students is imperative since technology is creating worldwide competition," the school wrote in its entry. "The iPads will expose teachers and students to the newest technology, raise their technology competence, enhance the curriculum and will appeal to a variety of learning styles. In turn, our educators will be able to deliver lessons that further prepare our students for the 21st century while using up-to-date technologies."

As of Monday, the school has received 1,548 votes and needs a strong push to win.

To vote online, visit the contest website. You can also cast your vote for Wilmington by texting clorox7873 to 44144. Voting closes on December 9.
