Dear WMS Families –
As you are aware I have been out of the building over the last month attending to some medical issues that were cardiac in nature. It is with great sadness that I wanted to reach out to inform you that, under the advice of my medical team, I have given my resignation to Superintendent Benton. I came to this position hoping that I could positively contribute to this dynamic community. I have appreciated the opportunity to have meaningful conversations about what is best for students at Wilmington Middle School.
We have 866 tremendously hard working students and 110 committed staff members. At the end of the day while I am an educator, my job as both a wife to my husband Ben and mom to Jack and Tessa must come first. Thank you for welcoming me into your community and I wish you all the very best.
Most Sincerely,
Amy
