Wilmington Police Arrest 2 On Drug Charges In Target Parking Lot

Rachel Adams, 33, of Cambridge, and Jeffrey Doherty, 31, of Woburn, were arrested after a report of drug activity in the Target parking lot.

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington police arrested two people and seized 29 grams of fentanyl and 31 grams of cocaine after responding to a report of drug activity in the parking lot at Target on Ballardville Street Wednesday. Police charged Rachel Adams, 33, of Cambridge, with possession of fentanyl and cocaine. Jeffrey Doherty, 31, of Woburn, was charged with trafficking cocaine and fentanyl.

"Thanks to an alert citizen, our Officers were able to step in and get dangerous drugs off of the street," Wilmington Police Chief Joseph Desmond said. "I am extremely proud of this Department and their commitment to protecting the community of Wilmington."

Police also seized more $1,400 in cash during a vehicle search. Adams and Doherty were scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Woburn District Court.
