Wilmington Police Department Welcomes 3 New Officers
All three graduated from the police academy recently and have local roots.
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Police Department is welcoming three new police officers from the Lynnfield Police Academy.
Officer David Ings, Officer Karl Saied, and Officer Jack Rooney were sworn in on Wednesday morning by Town Clerk Beth Lawrenson. They graduated from the Lynnfield Police Academy on Monday, according to a police statement.
All three are graduates of Wilmington High School.

“I am excited to have these three new officers, who all grew up in this community, joining our department. All three have a background in dispatch or hospital public safety, so they already have a good background in talking to people. Communication is a major part of this job,” Chief Brian Pupa said in a statement.
