Wilmington's Mike Brent Wins Scholar Athlete Award

Wilmington resident Michael Brent was the recipient of the 2012 Male Scholar Athlete Award. While at Arlington Catholic, Mike has worked hard in the classroom to achieve his good grades, and has done an excellent job at balancing his academic life with his three-season sports life.  

Since freshman year, Mike has dedicated himself to the AC sports program, playing football, basketball, and baseball that first year. Mike continued to play basketball and baseball for the next three years, and his dedication to the JV basketball team earned him the captainship his junior year.  

Michael made the decision sophomore year to stop playing football, but in his junior year, he joined the varsity soccer team. His athleticism on the soccer field earned him the captainship of his team this year.  

The AC community wishes Mike the best of academic and athletic success at Northeastern next year.
