Wilmington Santa Parade Route Set For Sunday, Dec. 8

WILMINGTON, MA — The town's annual Santa Parade kicks off at 7: 45 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making stops at the following locations along the parade route:

9:30 to 9:45 a.m. — Public Safety Building

11 to 11:30 a.m. — Shawsheen School

12:15 to 12:35 p.m. — Town Hall

1:30 to 2 p.m. — Woburn Street School

4 to 4:15 p.m. — North Intermediate School

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, along with their helpers, will be available for photos at the stops. They will also be collecting toys for the fire department's Toys for Wilmington Children drive, food for the Wilmington Food Pantry, and letters to U.S. service members. The letters will be put in care packages arranged by the Veterans Office, according to the parade's Facebook page.

Between stops, the parade will be passing through the following areas:

8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. — Metro Apts, Deming Way, Chestnut St, Marion St, Towpath Dr, Woburn St (Concord St towards Woburn), Wildwood St, Federal St, Lowell St, West St, Regency Place, Adams St, Parker St, Church St (Adams to Public Safety)

10 to 11 a.m. — Clark St, Main St by the Plaza’s, Old Shawsheen, Canal/Burt Rd/Harris St, Burlington Ave, Andrew/Houghton, Boutwell St, Carter Ln, Aldrich Rd, Hopkins St

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. — Grace/Melody, Harold/Reed, Nichols, Russell/New Hampshire, Fairmeadow, Moore/Manning, Pouliot, Lake St (Shawsheen to Grove), Grove, Mass Ave

12:35 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Glen Rd (From Town Hall to Middlesex) Garden, King, Cary (Off of King), Gloria Way, Broad, Seneca/Tacoma, Dobson/Fay, Agostino, Glendale, Lawrence, Oakdale/Judith/Cedarcrest/Pinewood, North St, Marcia, Linda, High

2 to 3 p.m. — Break

3 to 4 p.m. — Hathaway/ Chapman/Sheridan, Evans, Draper/ Charlotte Rd, Marie, Gowing, Freeport/ Lucaya, Park, Woburn (Park to Concord St) Middlesex Ave (Federal St to Salem St)

4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Ballardvale, Fiorenza, Ashwood, Arlene, Dorothy, Ring/Biggar, Cunningham St, Avalon Dr Apts (Square section), Avalon West, Everett to Faulkner to Glen.

Parade organizers emphasized on Facebook that the route, stops and times are all flexible and might change based on weather or traffic. They encourage people to watch the Facebook page for live schedule updates.
