WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee Wednesday night voted to appoint former superintendent Joanne Benton as the district's interim superintendent, pending contract negotiations.During Wednesday Night's meeting, the committee interviewed Michael LaCava, a principal at Chelmsford's Harrington Elementary School, and Joseph Connelly, who has served in numerous interim superintendent roles. The School Committee voted 5-1 in favor of Benton's appointment, pending contract negotiations.
