Wilmington — At a special meeting on Monday, June 27th, the Wilmington School Committee voted unanimously to exercise the renewal provision of Superintendent Mary DeLai’s employment agreement thereby extending her contract through June 30, 2018. This coincides with the school district’s current Strategy for Improvement of Student Outcomes which ends at the conclusion of the 2017-18 school year.

Next year, the district will be in the second year of this three year Strategic Plan. “We look forward to Superintendent DeLai’s continued success in implementing the district’s strategic objectives and priorities,” commented School Committee Chair Julie Broussard. “She and her leadership team have done yeoman’s work to enhance teaching and learning in our district, prepare students for college and careers, and address the needs of the whole child – academic, social, and emotional needs.”
