Wilmington Tree Lighting 2016: What You Need to Know

Santa's arrival, an ice sculpture and more.

WILMINGTON, MA — Residents across town will be buying and setting up their christmas trees over the next couple of weeks. The Town of Wilmington will be doing the same, and as is tradition, the whole town is invited.

Wilmington's annual tree lighting event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 4 p.m. and running until 7 p.m. According to Wilmington Community TV, Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. to light the lights on Town Common.

The event is held at Wilmington Town Common.

According to Wilmington Community TV, there will also be horse-drawn hayrides, cookies and hot chocolate, an ice sculpture presented by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, WHS cheeleaders and acapella groups and more.
