Wilmington Woman Arraigned In Alleged Domestic Violence Case

She is being held without bail under a hearing scheduled for Thursday.

A Wilmington woman was arraigned Tuesday on charges in connection with a case of alleged domestic violence, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced Tuesday night.

Jennifer Garvey, 32, of Wilmington is being held without bail following her arraignment Tuesday in Woburn District Court.

She faces charges of assault and battery on a family or household member and assault with a dangerous weapon, which allegedly occurred on Saturday, Jan. 17. Judge Michael Brooks ordered her held without bail until a hearing scheduled for 11 a.m, Thursday, Jan. 22, in Woburn District Court.

This case is being investigated by the Wilmington Police Department.

Garvey is a transit police officer with the MBTA, who was not on duty at the time of the alleged incident, the Lowell Sun is reporting. A transit police detective told the Sun that she has been placed on administrative leave while there is a internal investigation.
