Wilmington Youth Soccer Information for New Players

WYS officials answer all your questions if you have a child playing this spring.

Wilmington Youth Soccer offers the following new player information including what equipment is required, what is provided to players, as well as registration information and more:

All new players require the following equipment in order to play:

  • Shin Pads
  • Non Metal Cleats (no front toe cleats either)
  • Water Bottle

Uniforms:

WYSA will provide all players a uniform for Intown which consists of shirt and soccer socks. WYSA will provide all brand new Intown players a size 3 ball.

Birth Certificate Needed for Registration:

All new players must submit a birth certificate to registration@wilmingtonyouthsoccer.org in order to play so that age can be verified.

Age Requirements, Schedules and More:

  • Pre K players must be the age of 4 by March 31 for Spring and age of 4 by August 31 for Fall in order to play.
  • If your child is 5 before or after March 31 or August 31 you must sign them up for the Kinders program even if they are not enrolled in Kindergarten. No exceptions can be made.
  • Kinders and Pre-K play on Saturday’s in the Spring and Sunday’s during the Fall season.
  • All players are NOT allowed to wear jewelry which includes earnings in games. If your child recently had their ears pierced they WILL BE required to take the earrings out prior to a game. Hard casts and hard hair clips are not allow either. No exceptions can be made.
