Early in the spring we got together with the folks' at the Wilmington Farmer's Market to try and figure out a way to participate in getting fresh foods to Wilmington residents. The library was linked up with Farmer Dave's of Dracut and a fruitful (har, har, har) collaboration was born. Wilmington residents have been picking up their farm shares at the library for the past 12 weeks; and excess produce has been shared among the Wilmington Food Panty & the Senior Center.
This collaboration was picked up by Library Journal, because of the innovative use of the library. Read about your library here:
