• Winchester sets deadline for retiring with Medicare reimbursement (winchesternews.org) — Winchester has set June 30, 2027, as the last day town employees can retire and still receive the $200-per-month Medicare Part B reimbursement in retirement. The Select Board's decision could influence when 88 retirement-eligible staff choose to leave and will affect future town budgets, vacation and sick-time payouts, and how departments plan for staffing and succession over the next two years.
