• The Conservation Commission oversees water and land (winchesternews.org) — Winchester's Conservation Commission plays a big role in what you can build near local ponds, wetlands, and rivers, and in how 150 acres of town conservation land are managed. The board is now focused on the proposed Forest Ridge land purchase, exploring grants and Community Preservation funds after Town Meeting initially rejected the deal. Residents can follow meetings on WinCAM or contact the commission directly with project questions.
