Today's riddle: What has a neck but no head? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• What Sold: Woburn's 10 Most Recent Closings (patch.com) — Woburn homeowners and buyers can see the ten most recent property sales in town, with prices ranging from the low $500,000s to just under $950,000. The priciest closing was a home on Franklin Street at $949,000, and several Mishawum Road and Beach Street properties also changed hands in late August.
• Half-century adventure: Planners eagerly await revised Highview Estates proposal (homenewshere.com) — Woburn's Planning Board is still waiting on updated plans for the long-delayed Highview Estates subdivision, a project now more than 50 years in the making on the West Side near Reeves Elementary and Gillis Field. Developer Michael Santullo is proposing a scaled-down version with seven homes instead of 14, less blasting, and a shorter access road, but the board recently tabled discussion after he couldn't be reached. The project is believed to be the city's oldest outstanding development.
