• City Council looks to expand tax exemptions for disabled veterans (homenewshere.com) — Woburn officials are moving to let eligible seniors, disabled veterans, widows, and blind residents take their full local-option property tax exemption in a single year starting July 1, 2027. City leaders say the change would add about $26,000 spread across other taxpayers, a negligible increase, but could ease mounting tax, heating, and utility pressures on vulnerable neighbors.
