The before-school program aims to provide "a safe, structured environment for students, which families can rely on throughout the school calendar year," said Stark in a statement posted on the Malcolm White website.

The program is self-funded and sponsored by the MW School Council. The cost per day, per child is $6—tuition is charged monthly and must be paid in advance.

Parents interested in the program should complete the registration form attached to this article return it to the school.

Students taking part in the program will be stationed in the cafeteria and not allowed early entrance into the school. Students will be able to read, finish homework or take part in structured activities. Breakfast can be brought from home, or purchased for $1 after 8:05 a.m. in the cafeteria.
