10 Arrested In Police Sweep On Oread Street After Complaints
Residents and crime watch groups complained of a certain address on Oread Street, so police scoped it out.

WORCESTER, MA — On Thursday, Jan. 26, members of the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team were conducting surveillance in the area of 15 Oread St. after they had received numerous complaints from crime watch groups and residents that people were trespassing and using drugs in the hallways.
Officers spotted four people (later identified as 46-year-old Edil Torres, 35-year-old Jessica Leone, 42-year -old Christine Bonefont, and 30-year-old Samantha Smith) leave from the back of 15 Oread St., walk through the backyard, and cut across to Lagrange Street. The four were stopped and couldn't give any legitimate reason for being at that address, said police. They were arrested for trespassing. Both Leone and Torres had outstanding warrants for their arrest, and police found a knotted bag of crack cocaine in Bonefont's purse. Leone's purse had two knotted bags of cocaine and one bag of heroin in it. A search of Leone’s purse revealed two knotted bags of crack cocaine and one bag of heroin.
Police saw a car parked in the front of the location with a driver still inside, with a run of the plate revealing that the driver didn't have a valid license. After a short amount of time, two people exited 15 Oread and got into the car. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Ryan Johnson, 31-years-old, of Northboro. Johnson was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Officers continued surveillance and encountered 4 more individuals inside 15 Oread Street who were not residents, and none could come up with a legitimate reason for being there. Officers identified these individuals as 40-year-old Wanda Diaz, 28-year-old Lorraine Williamson, 25-year-old Shelia Pagan, and 42- year-old Wilberto Negron. Several of these individuals had been given no trespass orders to stay away from 15 Oread Street on prior occasions. All four were placed under arrest. It was also discovered that Pagan and Negron had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
During surveillance, officers observed a female identified as Jessica Savankham enter the address of 14 Oread. Officers were aware that she did not live in that building and stopped her as she left. Savankham was not able to provide any legitimate reason for being on the property, and was placed under arrest for Trespassing.

All individuals will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
