WORCESTER, MA — Welcome to the Dec. 13 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up during the week (plus a local fact) in seven Patch communities between Framingham and Worcester.

This week we're starting in Worcester, which has become a bit of a hub for filming. One movie shot in Worcester is "Christmas on Ice," one of about 10,000 Christmas movies airing on the Lifetime channel this season. You can watch it online for free here.

1) Worcester

Are you ready for the wax-sealed mystery box from the Midwest? The Worcester Historical Museum recently discovered a mystery box sent from someone in Wisconsin in 1915. A note with the box said it shouldn't be opened until 2015. The box was misplaced and never opened — but the museum plans to reveal what's inside this week.

2) Sudbury

On Tuesday and Thursday, Sudbury will host two vaccine clinics featuring COVID-19 and influenza inoculations. Find details and register for the clinics here.

3) Wayland

The Wayland Health Department and Medical Reserve Corps will hold a "mini" booster vaccine clinic on Tuesday at the town building. Boosters will be available from 1 to 2 p.m. Sign up for a shot here.

5) Natick

The annual Marsha Kelly Giving Tree is up in the lobby at Natick police headquarters. Residents have until Friday (Dec. 17) to grab and ornament and help the Natick Service Council provide gifts for local young people.

6) Marlborough

This will be a great week to get out and see holiday light displays around Marlborough. The city's 2021 holiday lights contest concludes soon. The winning local Clark Griswold will get a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

7) Framingham

Framingham's breweries will be in the holiday spirit this weekend. Exhibit 'A' Brewing in Framingham will host a live holiday concert on Saturday featuring the Blackstone Valley String Quartet. Jack's Abby will host its final German Christmas market on Saturday and Sunday.
