12-Hour Standoff Ends With Man's Arrest: Worcester Police
The man threatened to stab officers, said he was "armed and ready," and threw an object out a window at police, according to authorities.

WORCESTER, MA — A man was taken into custody Saturday after threatening police and barricading himself in a Worcester home overnight, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 6 p.m. Friday to the June Street area for a report of a man with an arrest warrant who was acting erratically and making threats, police said. The man refused to come out of the residence and negotiators were called to the scene, according to police.
Authorities made contact with the man via phone calls and texts, police said. The man, who was alone in the home, threatened to stab officers, said he was “armed and ready,” and threw an object out a window at police, according to authorities.
At 6:20 a.m. Saturday, the man was taken into custody after he left his bedroom, police said.
