15-Year-Olds Charged After Gunfire Exchange In Worcester
The two teens were riding on a moped during an exchange of gunfire involving a Jeep in the Vernon Hill area, according to police.

WORCESTER, MA — Two 15-year-olds were arrested and charged Tuesday night after a shooting in the Vernon Hill area, according to police.
Officers went to near Vernon and View streets around 8 p.m. on a report of a Jeep and two mopeds exchanging gunfire. When officers arrived, they saw two people speeding on a moped toward the Kelley Square area.
Later, another officer saw the two teens along Green Street, and approached to talk to them. Both ran away, and one threw a fanny pack over a fence, police said.
When police caught up to the two teens, they found one wearing a fanny pack with a gun inside. The fanny pack that was thrown over the fence also contained a gun, police said.
The teens were arrested and charged with gun law offenses and moving violations, Worcester police said in a news release.
