$1M Lottery Prize Sold In Worcester

A Massachusetts Lottery player who bought a ticket in Worcester has claimed a massive prize.

WORCESTER, MA — A Massachusetts Lottery player who bought a ticket in Worcester has claimed a massive prize.

One lucky Bay Stater won a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "200X" instant ticket game. The winning ticket was sold Tuesday at Marlyn Gas in Worcester, accoridng to the state's lottery commission.

Players win in the game by matching any of their numbers to one of the winning numbers. Three $1 million prizes have been claimed, and three more remain unclaimed.

The odds of winning a prize that large from the game are one in more than two million.

The Massachusetts State Lottery did not disclose the identity of the winner. Retailers that sell winning tickets typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.

Multiple other large prizes were sold in Worcester on Saturday. Two lucky players purchased tickets, each earning a $100,000 prize from Gibbs Oil and Yankee Gas and Market in the city.
