WORCESTER, MA — One lucky Worcester resident hit the jackpot this week.
Pany Phonyotha of Worcester won a $1 million prize in a Massachusetts State Lottery "Diamond Deluxe" instant ticket game. Now, she plans to open a small business with her winnings.
Phonyotha chose the cash option and recived a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
She bought the winning ticket at Star Pizza and Variety, located at 1280 Grafton Street. The store gets a $10,000 bonus.
