2 Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Car in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA—Two men are facing charges for allegedly stealing a car in Worcester on Tuesday.

Around 6:50 pm, a Worcester officer was on patrolling the area of Jacques Ave and Piedmont Street when he spotted a grey Acura TL drive past, occupied by two men. The officer ran the registration of the vehicle through CJIS, which revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen. Reversing direction, he caught up with the car and pulled it over near 12 Russell St.

Officers removed both from the vehicle. The driver was identified as Nelson Andino, 22, o22 Russell St. The passenger was identified as Josean Torres, 28,53 Raymond St. Based on the investigation and statements made at the scene, officers obtained probable cause to arrest both Andino and Torres for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
