2 Injured In Separate Worcester Shootings

The shootings happened Wednesday along Elizabeth Street and later in the day near Beaver Brook Park.

WORCESTER, MA — Two men were injured in separate shootings in Worcester on Wednesday, according to police.

The first shooting happened near 2:30 a.m. Wednesday along Elizabeth Street in the Bell Hill area. The 21-year-old victim was found outside a home, and was taken to the hospital for his injuries. Police responded to the shooting after getting an alert from ShotSpotter equipment.

About 13 hours later, police responded to near Beaver Brook Park after reported gunshots. A 24-year-old victim found at the scene was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
