2 Killed In I-395 Rollover Crash In Webster: MA State Police

Sunday's crash south of Worcester was the second over the weekend with multiple fatalities.

WEBSTER, MA — Two people died Sunday morning after a rollover crash along I-395 near the Connecticut border, according to state police.

The single-vehicle crash happened near Webster just before noon. According to state police, a BMW sports car was traveling southbound when it suddenly rolled over and ejected three passengers.

Leeha Thompson, 21, of Southbridge, and Carlos Ortiz-Pomales, 20, of Framingham, died after the crash at UMass Memorial hospital in Worcester. The driver, a 21-year-old from Southbridge, and another passenger, a 20-year-old from Framingham, were hospitalized with serious injuries, state police said.

State police did not immediately say what caused the crash.

The I-395 rollover was the second deadly crash in the region over the weekend. Early Sunday morning, three teenagers died when their car crashed in a wooded area in Brimfield, according to police.
