2 Worcester Free Coronavirus Test Events This Week
Great Brook Valley and Community Healthlink will host the events, and one will feature free flu shots.

WORCESTER, MA — There will be two opportunities this week in Worcester to get free coronavirus tests and flu shots, part of an effort to boost testing as the pandemic continues.
Worcester has been holding free popup testing events for weeks, but there are also several permanent sites under the state's Stop the Spread program. Here are the popup events this week:
Oct. 7, 2 to 6 p.m.
Great Brook Valley, 19 Tacoma St.
Free coronavirus testing, free flu shots with health insurance card
Oct. 8, noon to 4 p.m.
Community Healthlink, 72 Jaques Ave.

Worcester remains a high-risk community for coronavirus spread. As of the last update on Oct. 1, Worcester added 141 new cases over the preceding week, the largest number of new cases in months.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Worcester has seen 6,409 total cases and 291 COVID-19 deaths.
